Caffeine: Caffeine is a substance found in coffee, tea, and chocolate. The stimulating effects are only harmful when consumed in large quantities. Arabica contains half the caffeine of Robusta. A strong Espresso has less caffeine than filtered coffee.

Cappuccino: an Espresso topped off with hot frothy milk and often with cocoa powder or cinnamon.

Cherry: Name of the fruit of the coffee tree.

Coffee Maker: A machine that prepares an infusion of coffee. There are many types of coffee makers: the plunger coffee maker, the percolator, the filter coffee maker, the Espresso machine, the Neapolitan, the melior, the cona vacuum, etc.

Coffee plant: Tropical shrub native to Abyssinia, whose fruit ("cherry") contains seeds (coffee beans). There are two major coffee plant species: Coffea Arabica and Coffea Robusta.

Coffee tree: Tropical shrub native to Abyssinia whose fruit, or cherry, contains seeds (coffee beans). There are two major coffee plant species: Coffea Arabica and Coffea Canephora.

Concentration: Synonymous with strength, it is determined by the ratio of water to the amount of coffee – mild, medium and strong.
